Well, it's been four years since my last icon, and I haven't done much work on Cirundi since 2010, so I figured a new icon was in order here for 2013!
And what better way to kick off the unlucky 13th year of the millenia than with a ring of corrupted elements - grave, blood, mist and pyre.
Anybody who knows me knows that I love the concept of elements and the thematic possibilities thereof. I am also a sucker for Ravenloft, Dungeons and Dragon's Gothic horror setting and home of the corrupted elemental planes. I think you can see where this is going...
Anyhow, with my current focus on the horrors and the Horror Shop comic, a ring of corrupted elements probably works well here, for the time being. Until I figure out a better idea.

I like! The ring itself brings to mind the Seeker series, amusingly enough, though I haven't read the books in ages. I like the grey and the trees, of course. The backcolors from grave, myst, and fire are so light that the red behind blood comes off very strongly in comparison. Wouldn't hurt to balance things out a bit more if you do something similar again. ^_^
